Adhmad Cill na Martra Teo is a family-run business rooted in the heart of Kilnamartyra Village.

Founded in 1986 by Tomás & Mary Murphy, the company began its journey in a small grain-milling yard behind O’Murchú’s Pub — Tomás’ home place — with just two men, one machine, and a determination to provide quality timber products to the local farming community.

 From those humble beginnings, Adhmad Cill na Martra has grown steadily over the years. Today, the business is carried forward alongside them by their daughter, Eimear, and now employs many people from the local area, continuing the tradition of supporting the community that built us.

 We specialise in the manufacturing of round timber fencing posts for agricultural and forestry use. What started with rough rounds on a single machine has expanded into a full range of products including rough rounds, machined rounds, incised posts, and more.

 In 2007, we became manufacturers of NSAI kiln-dried standard posts, designed for exceptional durability and long life in Irish conditions. Alongside fencing posts, we also supply firewood, peelings, shavings, sawdust, and a selection of garden and residential timber fencing supplies, serving farmers, forestry contractors, homeowners, and local businesses throughout the region.

In 2023, we faced one of our greatest challenges when a fire destroyed our main production shed. It was a devastating blow, but with the resilience and community spirit that has always defined us, we rebuilt stronger than before. In its place now stands a modern automatic production line, allowing us to work more efficiently while maintaining the craftsmanship and quality we are known for.
